The past year has been nothing short of monumental for Darkan Music. From multiple album releases to new creative ventures, the momentum is strong and only building.

New Release: “No Scar” on Triple J Unearthed

  • We’re proud to announce the release of our latest track, No Scar, now live on Triple J Unearthed

  • No Scar is a song about intimacy without wounds — the kind of connection that leaves no pain, no injury, no scar. Through lyrical storytelling and rich emotional imagery, the track explores the quiet power of love: a hand on a cheek, silence that speaks volumes, the merging of two souls into one unshakable bond.

  • The refrain becomes both mantra and message: that love can heal, uplift, and transform rather than harm. From the ripple of water to the fire at the centre of a star, the imagery flows seamlessly, inviting listeners into a world where vulnerability is strength and tenderness is eternal.

  • Released on 4 August 2025, this marks another milestone in Darkan Music’s journey to create songs that resonate deeply across genres. Blending poetic folk nuance with modern storytelling, No Scar sits alongside our catalogue as a testament to music’s ability to both soothe and stir.

Musical: “Deja Vu”

  • A multi genre modern opera,Deja Vu,is at stage one. The songs and blocking script are ready for humanisation, whether as a live on-stage musical or as a film. We'll know after stage two, after humans have shown A I how it's done and after the 'real' album is released. We're trying for a Creative Arts Australia grant to pay for the studio and vocalist expenses, but if unsuccessful, we'll do it ourselves - it will just take more time to finish. Genres include Hip Hop, Rap, Soul, Blues, Rockabilly, Trance and Latin, just to name a few, and all songs combine more than one genre.

  • As Deja Vububbles on one burner, Denny is also cooking up a rhythmic, emotionally evocative album called The Stranger At The Fire, which he intends to sing himself and ultimately produce into another 'real' work for distribution. Sparse latin rhythms, acoustic guitars, flamenco spice and stories to open heart and mind.

Four New Album Releases

  • Darkan Music has released four full albums in the last quarter. Each one explores a different side of storytelling and sound — from southern gothic grit to heartfelt ballads and experimental blends. Together, they showcase Darkan’s refusal to be confined by genre and a commitment to letting music tell the story it needs to tell.

Played2Order: Custom Songs on Demand

  • This season also marked the launch of Played2Order, a unique service where anyone can commission a personal song. Clients share their story — whether it’s love, loss, celebration, or reflection — and it’s transformed into original lyrics and music. It’s storytelling in its purest form, giving people their own soundtrack.

Current Creations in Motion

The writing hasn’t slowed down. Right now, Darkan is working on:

  • Lyrics for sync and pitch – songs crafted for film, TV, and live performance opportunities.

  • Cross-genre explorations – weaving country, rock, blues, and theatre into fresh experiments.

  • Collaborations – building with singers, musicians, and producers to bring new dimensions to Darkan’s sound.
